What is "The Table?"

J

“The Table is a symbol.  a symbol of strength to whoever is in earshot or in eyesight of it.  They can see the table or see what we are about to build and know that this Table is different.  A place of sanctuary, a place of strength, a place of safety and a place to learn.  A place to express yourself and not be judged. A place where you can seek advice and a place where you can help the community.  The Table is where desired outcomes are only 'One Step Away'."

"This Table represents everything that I've gone through to get to the stage I am at now.  The Table is our future, The Table is our present and I hope to say that is also my history.  The Table represents life.  We need to build our own, so this Table is an escape from being One Step Away From (negative outcomes), all the time.  If we really want to have change then this is our only option..."

M

"The Table is a self sustainable physical and mental space.  There are a lot of physical things that can represent The Table (infrastructure, hubs, safe places, land, property) but the mental part is fundamental for me.  The Table consists of having a blueprint for desirable outcomes (by having solutions).  The Table space is about having educated (but not necessarily academic) people that has understanding. Most importantly... having a spiritual understanding of how life should be lived."

"The Table represents 3 things...

1. Control: Control of our own destiny for ourselves and generations to come.

2.  Peace:  When you sit around a table, there is normally food and I have never seen people argue when food is around because everyone is eating and happy.  No side eyes, no killing.  We are in harmony having food!

3.  Stability:  I have never seen anyone who has out "food" on the table thats not stable.  So The Table has to be trusted 100%, to be able to put anything on it.  This means that any build that occurs will be strong.  And this is what we need."
